Integrated projects for regional and local development are a set of actions that cross several areas, but point to a common goal of development of the area and need a coherent and unified approach to implementation. Through integrated projects for regional development in order to sustain the competitiveness and attractiveness of regions and provinces at national and European level. Projects should therefore be aimed at achieving the objectives considered strategic for the whole regional or provincial and be consistent with the main elements indicated at Community level.

Integrated projects must fit within the regional strategy and sectoral lines of action of the supply chain and operational methods of consultation and public-private partnerships, as provided by the operational programs.
